Siosepol  (Allah-Verdi Khan Bridge)

This famous bridge is located in the south of Chahar Bagh Street and it comprises 33 arches. The construction started in 1603 by Shah Abbas and finished by Allah-Verdi Khan. ‘This bridge is 300 meters high and 14 meters wide.

One of the most beautiful bridges in the Safavid era built on the Zayande Rood river.

Siosepol measure 295 meters long and 13.75 meters wide and it is one of the first orders of Shah Abbas.

Names:

1. Paul Shah Abbas : Shah Abbas ordered for it to be built.
2-Since Alahverdykhan make most of the effort to build it.
3. In terms of the people crossing the bridge to the Julfa called Julfa.
4. Since in old days it had forty springs they called it forty springs or Chehel Cheshme
